As a Certified Service Dog Trainer (ABCSDT) I'll guide you through the steps of training your own service dog candidate from selection to certification. My service dog training services include:

Learn more about training your service dog on the following page and complete the Service Dog Training Request form.  I'll contact you to set up a free phone consultation to discuss your training goals and expectations of a service dog, as well as the responsibilities of training your own service dog. 

From there, we can begin the selection process for a new service dog candidate or assess your current dog to determine their capabilities and desire to be a service dog.

I'll create a custom training plan, complete with practice and progress charts to track your success!  Training session are 1- hour long at your home or a public training location.  Sessions are recommended at least once per week.  We'll discuss your progress, address setbacks, learn new skills and assign new homework. 

All training is based on fear-free, force-free, positive reinforcement techniques using fun tips, tricks and games for you and your dog.  You'll learn to build a strong relationship working together as a team, how to read your dog's body language AND understand why they may be having trouble and how to set them up for success.  I'll also share my favorite tips and tricks for providing enrichment and managing boundaries to help you and your pup succeed.
